During its long history, Reno has had and continues to have something of a split-personality. It is a casino town, with wide open gambling and entertainment. It is also an outdoors paradise, with Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Lake, the Sierras, and many other treats for those who could care less about gambling. And of late, its been developing still another personality - as Nevada's art and cultural center. Whether you are here for a day or a decade, and whatever the reason for your interest in this very special part of the country, these web pages should give you a better idea of what Reno is like and how to best spend your time in this wonderful town.
Keeping this site up and running, current and relevant, is a lot of work. Reno.org's idea is that various businesses and individuals will keep the pages up to date, in return for being listed as a Sponsor. Each sponsor has a page for one quarter, and, if readers like what they see, can normally continue to sponsor that page for successive quarters. If you would like to sponsor a page, write host@reno.org. Excepting the Good Morning and Ledditors pages, content is expected to be fair, unbiased, balanced and complete. Those interested in furthering the work of this site but who don't have the time to sponsor a page should contact Reno.org.
We are constantly trying to improve this site, so it you don't like it now, come back in a couple of weeks. Better yet, take on a page yourself.
